Safety is Number One
Safety overall is one of the most important things in caring for an animal. Although, it does depend on the service you are needing. Generally, I always like to ensure that they can trust and respect me, and vice versa. I also make sure there aren't any small objects they could choke on or swallow nearby. I like to keep a close eye on them as well, you never know what their curious minds will get them into next.
